this song was so much fun to compose, play, sing and master…
I’m a snail in your garden / not the giant you imagine / Did we laugh, Whitechapel? / A fleeting ghost of joy’s rattle / The winds still dance a bold romance / the winds, the sun, and no man’s land / I stitch the gloom / The sun is the sun, too bright / bleeding hands a the edge of the night / here fierce in lunchtime’s reign / now drowns in flat disdain / The crickets sing an ancient tune / Dusk sets in, lets me groom / the shadows, long, with absent hands / collect the lights from pickery lands / Did we laugh, Whitechapel? / I’m no titan / no waking dream / Just a snail in your garden
i used cubase as my DAW, four tracks for the vocals (light blue), two for the strat guitar (green), a drum track (yellow), a polyphonic synth and a solo synth (orange), a rickenbacker bass (violet).
