i‘m talking about my personal imagination deficit. i‘ve written stories since i was a kid. when that skill matured, i published lots and lots of stories on public radio, here in germany.
from the very beginning of writing a story my imagination of the scenery where the story takes place is very precise and clear. for example when three people are talking in that story, i know exactly where they sit or stand, what they look like, how the light is etc. i never thought about that. i learnt much later in my life that these visualisations, these imaginations are not really interesting. when people listen to those stories, each of them has a different imagination, most of which are probably much more pleasing than mine. that‘s one of the reasons for me not being able to create movies with thrilling scenes.
with the current advent of text to AI this does not change. but i‘m amazed how generative AI “imagines“ my “stories“. an example is the 10 second video above. i wrote the story (which in AI is called “prompt“), let the AI work, added lipsync sound, and bingo. i don‘t know where all this leads to, but it‘s certainly interesting.
