today i dismantled my first smartphone, the → blackberry 7290 from 2004. three years later the iPhone was introduced – the first smartphone with touchscreen. the blackberry with its real QUERY/QUERZ keyboard was a design jewel. when i visited new york city with my father in those years the blackberry was all over the place, often as the business phone. it was new york when we first time saw people with two phones. the other one was no smartphone and used for private calls.
i did the photographs with my today’s smartphone, the pretty much outdated google pixel 2 XL. a great phone with a great camera. of course, the camera cannot do macro photos. what you see here was achieved using the → moment 10 x macro lens on the pixel phone. and → amazing lens.
