i had a favourite record store in manhattan, back in the late 1980s: bleecker bob’s. it had an amazing selection of rare, out of print, or very rough current releases on vinyl. a paradise for hardcore fans. between 1988 and 1993 i purchased lots of records there, many of them vinyl 45 rpm singles like the ones you see below.

i played lots of records from the then thriving punk/hardcore scene in the US. bleecker bob’s was excellent for that exploration. i think my listeners back then loved the music as much as i did. and still do.
