back in the early 1980s i played in a new wave band by the name of K Rot Extra. we often performed in punk rock locations in or around munich, germany. i don’t remember what stage we see in the photo below and who took that photo. but i sure remember the instruments. the fender and peavey amps for guitar and bass on the right, the roland jazz chorus for my fender rhodes piano on the left. and of course reinhard’s drum set.
the rhodes piano was a great instrument – but a drag, because during every performance, sometimes within a single song, one of the “tines” broke. this made one key disfunctional. i did have new tines in my bag, but it took time to fix and tune them.
