in 1973 donald trump was 27 years young and under his father’s thumb: fred c. trump. the kid followed his father’s racism. the new york times article above demostrates this quite well. the son reacted to the injunction:

„They are absolutely ridiculous. […] There have been a number of local actions against us, and we’ve won them all.“

instead of asking what might have been wrong, he went straight into attack mode. just like today.

in 1950 the left wing protest singer woody guthrie („this land is my land“) rented an apartment owned by fred trump. trump had coined the building „beach haven“. to woody guthrie it was „bitch haven“. he wrote:

    Beach Haven ain't my home! 
    I just cain't pay this rent!
    My money's down the drain!
    And my soul is badly bent!
    Beach Haven looks like heaven
    Where no black ones come to roam!

this Ai image is great. i wanted two people in focus, walking down 5th avenue in new york. i also demanded a photo with very shallow depth of field. well done.

with, luckily, a few flaws. depth of field would keep the legs of the two in focus, and everthing further back out of focus. optically it does not make sense to have two areas of sharpness. another flaw has to do with text. the taxi on the right has nonsense on its roof.

in a further attempt i wanted this image to be animated. this works well. the traffic jam make the cars stand still; one car moves a bit. the closer the two people get to the „camera“ the more puppet-like they look.

someone commented that the woman somehow lost her handbag. true!
